About the Trek
Pangarchulla Trek is one of the most exciting high-altitude trekking experiences in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Located near Auli and Joshimath in Chamoli district, the trek takes you through dense oak and rhododendron forests, beautiful alpine meadows, snow-covered trails and dramatic Himalayan landscapes.
The highlight of the trek is the challenging summit climb to Pangarchulla Peak, standing at approximately 15,069 ft, from where trekkers can witness spectacular views of some of the mighty Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, Dronagiri, Kamet and other surrounding peaks.
The Pangarchulla Trek is considered a difficult high-altitude trek and requires good physical fitness, endurance and the ability to handle long trekking hours and steep terrain. The summit section can involve snow, boulders and exposed ridges, making proper preparation and experienced trek leadership essential.
