Your Kedarkantha adventure begins early in the morning as you depart from Dehradun and drive towards Sankri, the gateway to the Kedarkantha Trek.

The scenic drive takes you through the beautiful Himalayan foothills, charming mountain villages, winding roads and lush green valleys. As you progress towards the higher Himalayan region, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic.

Along the way, enjoy views of the Tons River, dense forests and traditional Garhwali villages. The journey itself offers several beautiful photo opportunities as you gradually leave the plains behind and enter the peaceful mountain environment.

On arrival at Sankri, check into your accommodation and relax after the long journey. You can spend the evening exploring the village, preparing your trekking gear and getting ready for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, begin your first day of trekking from Sankri towards Juda Ka Talab.

The trail gradually climbs through dense pine and oak forests, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. During the winter season, the trail may be covered with snow, creating a magical Himalayan landscape.

As you continue ascending, the forest opens up at several points, revealing spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and mountain slopes.

After trekking for several hours, you arrive at Juda Ka Talab, a beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by dense forests and mountains. During winter, the lake often freezes and the surrounding landscape becomes covered in snow.

Settle into your campsite and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As evening arrives, relax around the campsite and enjoy the clear mountain sky.

After breakfast, continue your trek towards the Kedarkantha Base Camp.

The landscape begins to change as you gain altitude. The dense forests gradually give way to open meadows and expansive mountain landscapes.

The trail provides magnificent views of the Himalayan ranges and surrounding valleys. During the winter months, snow-covered trails and meadows make this section particularly spectacular.

Upon reaching Kedarkantha Base Camp, settle into your campsite and take some time to rest. The base camp offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy the surrounding Himalayan scenery and prepare yourself for the summit climb.

Your trek leader will brief you about the next day's summit attempt, including the early morning departure, weather conditions and important safety instructions.

This is the most exciting day of your Kedarkantha Trek.

You will start early in the morning, usually before sunrise, for the summit attempt. The early departure is planned so that you can reach the summit in time to witness the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayan mountains.

The trail becomes steeper as you approach the summit. During the winter season, snow and ice may make the trail more challenging. Your trek leader and support team will guide you throughout the ascent.

After reaching the Kedarkantha Summit at approximately 12,500 feet, take time to admire the spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and valleys.

Enjoy the summit experience, capture photographs and take in the breathtaking Himalayan scenery before beginning your descent.

After descending from the summit, return to the campsite and rest. Depending on the itinerary and trail conditions, the group may continue towards a lower campsite.

After breakfast, begin your descent towards Sankri.

The descent is generally easier than the ascent, but trekkers should still maintain a steady pace and take care while walking on uneven or slippery sections.

On reaching Sankri, check into your accommodation and relax after completing the major trekking section of your journey.

Spend the evening at leisure, share your trekking experiences with fellow travellers and enjoy your final evening in the mountains.

Carry Essential Medications

Stay Hydrated & Eat Well

Be Mindful of AMS

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) can occur at high altitude. Watch for symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness, unusual tiredness or breathlessness. Inform the trek leader immediately if you feel unwell.

Pack Smart & Travel Light

Carry only essential items. An unnecessarily heavy backpack can make the trek significantly more difficult.

Respect the Environment

Do not litter. Avoid disturbing wildlife and vegetation, and follow Leave No Trace principles wherever possible.

Emergency Preparedness

Keep your identification, emergency contacts, essential medicines and important documents easily accessible. Follow the trek team's instructions in case of an emergency.

Transportation Policy

Please note that AC may not be operational during travel in hilly and mountain regions due to road conditions, weather and vehicle operating conditions.

If AC is required in such areas, you may coordinate directly with the driver. Additional charges may apply where applicable.

Booking Policy

Advance Payment

A minimum 30% advance payment is required to confirm your booking.

The remaining/full payment must be completed before the trek starts.

Booking Confirmation

Once the required payment is received, you will receive a confirmation with your trek details.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling is allowed only once and must be requested at least 7 days before the trek start date.

A rescheduling fee may apply depending on the circumstances and availability.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by the Trekker

  • 30+ days before the trek: 90% refund of the total amount.
  • 15–30 days before the trek: 50% refund of the total amount.
  • Less than 15 days before the trek: No refund.
  • Booking Amount: No refund will be issued for any booking amount below ?500.

 

Cancellation by Divintra Holidays

In case of unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, road closures or other circumstances beyond our control, Divintra Holidays reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify the trek for safety reasons.

Where applicable, an alternative trek date, trek option or voucher may be offered.

No Refund for Unused Services

No refund will be provided for any service included in the package but not used by the trekker, including meals, transportation, accommodation or other inclusions.

Dropout During the Trek

If a participant chooses to leave the trek due to personal reasons, no refund will be provided.

Any additional expenses related to evacuation, transportation, accommodation or early exit will be borne by the participant.
