About the Trek
The Gulabi Kantha Trek is a beautiful offbeat Himalayan adventure in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Starting from Hanuman Chatti in the Yamuna Valley, the trek takes you through traditional Garhwali villages, dense oak and rhododendron forests, peaceful campsites and expansive alpine meadows before reaching the spectacular Gulabi Kantha summit.
Known for its serene landscapes and panoramic Himalayan views, Gulabi Kantha is an excellent choice for travellers looking to experience the quieter side of Uttarakhand. The trail combines forest walks, meadow crossings, camping and high-altitude mountain scenery.
The trek is generally considered Easy to Moderate, making it suitable for reasonably fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers. However, the altitude and long walking hours require proper preparation and acclimatization.
From the higher sections of the trail, trekkers can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding Garhwal Himalayas, with views commonly associated with peaks and ranges including Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini.
