About the Trek

The Bhrigu Lake Trek is one of the most scenic high-altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh, offering an incredible combination of alpine meadows, dense forests, snow-covered mountains and a beautiful high-altitude lake. Located near Manali in the Kullu Valley, Bhrigu Lake is situated at approximately 14,000 ft above sea level and is traditionally associated with Maharishi Bhrigu.

What makes this trek special is the dramatic change in landscape as you ascend. The trail takes you through dense forests of oak, pine and deodar before opening into vast Himalayan meadows with spectacular views of peaks surrounding the Manali and Kullu valleys.

The journey is ideal for adventure lovers, nature enthusiasts and trekkers looking for a relatively short Himalayan trek with an exciting high-altitude experience. Depending on the route and weather conditions, the trail may include steep ascents, open meadows, rocky sections and snow-covered terrain.

The Bhrigu Lake Trek is generally considered a moderate trek suitable for fit beginners and experienced trekkers, but the high altitude requires proper preparation, gradual acclimatization and adherence to the trek leader's instructions.
