This 7 nights / 8 days Himalayan circuit takes you from colonial hill-station charm to alpine meadows, snow-capped peaks, tea gardens and tiger country, all with a private vehicle and comfortable stays. Start with two nights in Mussoorie, the Queen of Hills, with the Gun Hill ropeway, Kempty Falls and George Everest Peak. Drive via Dhanaulti, Tehri Lake and Rudraprayag to the meadows of Chopta, the Mini Switzerland of India, for a night in camps. Continue to Auli for two nights with chairlift rides and views of Nanda Devi, Kamet and Trishul.

Then cross from Garhwal into Kumaon along the Pindar valley to Kausani, famous for its 300 km-wide Himalayan panorama, visiting the ancient Baijnath Temple on the way. Approx. 290 km | 8 Hours

Please try to begin by 8–9 AM to make the most of your first day.

We'll pick you up from New Delhi Airport, Railway Station or your hotel and drive to Mussoorie via Haridwar and Dehradun, with a breakfast break on the way. Stop for lunch in Dehradun and visit the Dehradun Zoo.

Arrive in Mussoorie by afternoon and check in. Head to Mall Road and take the ropeway to Gun Hill for panoramic views and a beautiful sunset.

Local Sightseeing

Enjoy a relaxed morning. Early risers can catch a lovely Mussoorie sunrise.

After breakfast, visit Kempty Falls and Company Garden (Atal Udyan), then take a short walk or shared ride to George Everest Peak for sunset views over Mussoorie and Dehradun.

If it's not too dark, end the day with a stroll along the misty Mall Road for shopping and souvenirs.

Approx. 255 km | 10 Hours

This is a long but beautiful drive, so please wake up by 5 AM and leave by 7:00 AM.

Stop at the Eco Park in Dhanaulti, then visit Surkanda Devi Temple. The temple is a 2.5 km trek, so the ropeway (both ways) is required to fit it into today's schedule.

Break for lunch at New Tehri with views of Tehri Lake. Continue to Rudraprayag, where the Mandakini from Kedarnath meets the Alaknanda, then follow the Mandakini valley through Agastyamuni.

At Ukhimath, visit the Omkareshwar Temple, the winter seat of Shri Kedarnath, then continue to Chopta and check in to your camp.

Wake up to a stunning sunrise over the snow-clad Himalayan peaks. After breakfast, check out around 10 AM.

Stop in Gopeshwar for lunch and a visit to the ancient Gopinath Temple. Continue to Joshimath and visit the Narsingh Temple, the winter seat of Shri Badrinath, where the deity is worshipped while Badrinath Dham is closed.

Continue to Auli and check in. The evening is free for leisure.

Local Sightseeing

Wake up early for sunrise over Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kamet, Hathi Parvat, Dronagiri and Neelkanth.

After breakfast, ride the chairlift to the upper slopes and visit Auli Artificial Lake. You can also take the 3 km trek to Gorson Bugyal, a beautiful alpine meadow. In winter, the slopes become Auli's famous ski runs.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

Approx. 200 km | 8 Hours

After breakfast, leave Auli by 9:00 AM. Drive down the Alaknanda valley, stopping at Nandprayag, where the Nandakini meets the Alaknanda, and Karnprayag, where the Pindar joins it.

Have lunch near Karnprayag, since there are few restaurants for the next 50 km. From here, the road follows the Pindar River up to Gwaldam, then crosses into the Kumaon region along the Gomti River.

Visit the ancient Baijnath Temple Complex on the banks of the Gomti, then take a short break at the Kausani Tea Estate.

Arrive in Kausani by evening and enjoy tea with a sweeping view of the Himalayan ranges.

Wake up early and watch the sunrise from your balcony. Kausani was called the "Switzerland of India" by Mahatma Gandhi.

After breakfast, visit Anashakti Ashram, then drive to Corbett (Ramnagar) via Someshwar, Ranikhet and Bhatrojkhan, with lunch in Ranikhet. The road then follows the Kosi River valley.

Before reaching Ramnagar, visit the Dhangarhi Museum and the Garjiya Devi Temple, set on a rock in the Kosi River. Check in at your jungle resort and enjoy games, the pool, a bonfire or a village walk.

Approx. 250 km | 6–7 Hours

Wake up around 5 AM for an early-morning Jeep Safari in Jim Corbett National Park (advance booking required). Look for Royal Bengal Tigers, elephants, deer and many bird species. Wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed.

Return to the resort by 9 AM for breakfast. After some rest, check out and drive to New Delhi, with lunch on the way. You'll be dropped at the railway station, bus station or airport by evening.

Modification & Rescheduling

  • Tour dates may be rescheduled subject to availability and applicable seasonal or fare differences.
  • Modification requests should be submitted at least 15 days before the tour start date.
  • Name changes and passenger modifications are permitted up to 7 days before departure, subject to feasibility.
  • Rescheduling during peak seasons, festivals or holidays may involve additional charges.
  • Any price difference resulting from changes in hotels, transportation, permits or activities will be payable by the traveller.

Itinerary Changes

Health & Fitness

Travellers should be physically fit for mountain travel. Although this itinerary does not involve a high-altitude trek, road journeys through the Himalayan region can involve winding roads, elevation changes and long travel hours. Travellers with specific health concerns should consult their doctor before travelling.

Children Policy

  • Children below 5 years: Complimentary when sharing the parents' bed.
  • Children aged 5–11 years: 25% discount.
  • Children above 11 years: Charged as adults.

Air Conditioning: AC may be switched off on steep mountain roads and hilly stretches due to vehicle performance and safety considerations.

Yes. You can add the Tungnath–Chandrashila trek with an extra night in Chopta, change hotels, or start from Dehradun or Haridwar instead of Delhi.
