Projects description

The 3 Days Rishikesh River Rafting Tour from Delhi is a short weekend trip that mixes white-water adventure on the Ganga with the spiritual side of Rishikesh. The tour starts with a stop in Haridwar for Har Ki Pauri and Mansa Devi Temple, then continues to Rishikesh, known as the Yoga Capital of the World. The evening ends with the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. The second day is the main part of the trip. You start with yoga and meditation on the Ganga beaches, then go white-water rafting through the rapids of the Ganga with a certified guide. Later you explore Ram Jhula, Janki Setu, Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan and the Laxman Jhula area, and the day ends with the Parmarth Niketan Ganga Aarti. On Day 3 you drive back to Delhi. The tour suits friends, college groups, couples and first-time rafters who want an active weekend away from Delhi.

Traveller Notes

Best Time to Visit

This Uttarakhand circuit can be planned across different seasons, with each season offering a different experience. Summer is pleasant for sightseeing, monsoon brings lush greenery but may cause road disruptions, while autumn and winter offer clearer mountain views and cooler temperatures.

What to Carry

Travellers are advised to carry:

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Light and warm clothing
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Personal medicines
  • Valid photo ID
  • Power bank
  • Rain protection during monsoon
  • Warm layers during winter

Important Road Safety Note

Mountain roads can be narrow and winding. Driving before sunrise or after sunset in hilly areas may be restricted or avoided for safety reasons. The exact travel schedule may therefore be adjusted according to local road and weather conditions.
