Approx. 240 km | 6–7 Hours

We'll pick you up from New Delhi Railway Station or Airport and drive to Haridwar, with a breakfast break on the way.

In Haridwar, visit Mansa Devi Temple (by ropeway) and stay for the divine evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Afterwards, continue the short drive to Rishikesh and check in.

Local Sightseeing

Start early with yoga and meditation on the Ganga beaches. After breakfast, explore the Laxman Jhula area, Ram Jhula, Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan and Janki Setu, plus a ferry ride across the Ganges when operating.

Adventure lovers can try white-water rafting or bungee jumping at extra cost.

In the evening, join the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan or Triveni Ghat and enjoy the night views of Ram Jhula and Janki Setu.

After breakfast, drive along the Ganges to Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet to form the holy Ganga.

Continue to the Dhari Devi Temple on the Alaknanda, then to Rudraprayag, where the Mandakini from Kedarnath joins the Alaknanda. From here, the road follows the Mandakini valley through Agastyamuni, with a lunch stop along the way.

At Ukhimath, visit the Omkareshwar Temple, the winter seat of Shri Kedarnath, then continue to Chopta and check in.

Wake up to sunrise over the Himalayan peaks. After a hearty breakfast, pack snacks, dry fruits and water for the trek, since there are only a few stalls along the trail. You'll be transferred to the trek base.

The trail climbs about 3.5 km to Tungnath Temple (approx. 3,680 m), the highest Shiva temple in the world and one of the Panch Kedar. If you wish, continue another 1.5 km to Chandrashila (approx. 4,000 m), also known as Moon Rock, for a 360° view of Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Trishul, Nanda Devi and Kamet.

Return to the base and your camp by evening.

Enjoy another Himalayan sunrise. After breakfast, check out around 10 AM.

Stop in Gopeshwar for lunch and a visit to the ancient Gopinath Temple. Continue to Joshimath and visit the Narsingh Temple, the winter seat of Shri Badrinath, where the deity is worshipped while Badrinath Dham is closed.

Continue to Auli and check in. The evening is free for leisure.

Local Sightseeing

Wake up early for sunrise over Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kamet, Hathi Parvat, Dronagiri and Neelkanth.

After breakfast, ride the chairlift to the upper slopes and visit Auli Artificial Lake. You can also take the 3 km trek to Gorson Bugyal, a beautiful alpine meadow. In winter, the slopes become Auli's famous ski runs.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

After breakfast, leave Auli by 9:00 AM. Drive down the Alaknanda valley, stopping at Nandprayag, where the Nandakini meets the Alaknanda, and Karnprayag, where the Pindar joins it.

Have lunch near Karnprayag, since there are few restaurants for the next 50 km. The road then follows the Pindar River up to Gwaldam and crosses into Kumaon along the Gomti River.

Visit the ancient Baijnath Temple Complex, then take a short break at the Kausani Tea Estate. Arrive in Kausani by evening and enjoy tea with a sweeping view of the Himalayan ranges.

Wake up early and watch the sunrise from your balcony. Kausani was called the "Switzerland of India" by Mahatma Gandhi.

After breakfast, visit Anashakti Ashram, then drive via Someshwar to the peaceful Kasar Devi Temple near Almora. Have lunch in Almora with views of the Himalayas and Kumaon valleys.

Continue via Khairna to Kainchi Dham, the ashram of Neem Karoli Baba, for blessings. Arrive in Bhimtal by evening and check in.

After breakfast, explore the lakes of Kumaon. Visit Bhimtal Lake, where you can try paragliding, and the peaceful Sattal Lakes for boating or kayaking.

Later, head to Nainital for boating on Naini Lake, a visit to the sacred Naina Devi Temple, and shopping on Mall Road and the Bhotia Market.

Return to Bhimtal in the evening for a relaxed lakeside night.

Start with a nature walk near your hotel. After breakfast, check out by 10 AM and drive to Corbett (Ramnagar), visiting Corbett Falls and Hanuman Dham Temple on the way.

Check in at your jungle resort by afternoon and enjoy games, the pool, a bonfire or a village walk.

Approx. 250 km | 6–7 Hours

Wake up around 5 AM for an early-morning Jeep Safari in Jim Corbett National Park (advance booking required). Look for Royal Bengal Tigers, elephants, deer and many bird species. Wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed.

Return to the resort by 9 AM for breakfast. After some rest, check out and drive to New Delhi, with lunch on the way. You'll be dropped at the railway station, bus station or airport by evening.

Although this itinerary does not involve a high-altitude trek, road journeys through the Himalayan region can involve winding roads, elevation changes and long travel hours. Travellers with specific health concerns should consult their doctor before travelling.

This Uttarakhand circuit can be planned across different seasons, with each season offering a different experience. Summer is pleasant for sightseeing, monsoon brings lush greenery but may cause road disruptions, while autumn and winter offer clearer mountain views and cooler temperatures.

It's a moderate trek of about 5 km each way on a well-marked stone trail. The last stretch to Chandrashila is steep, but you can stop at Tungnath Temple if you don't want to continue to the summit.

 

No. The temple usually closes from around November to April/May. The trek is still possible in winter, but snow can make the trail difficult.
